The Prevention of Sternal Wound Infection After Median Sternotomy Is Very Important
The nomogram as summarised by the authors in the study showed a fair performance and good effectiveness for clinical prediction of SWI. It has important reference value for cardiac surgeons in preventing infection of median sternal incision. The prevention of SWI after thoracotomy, especially the prevention of DSWI, should be paid great attention by cardiac surgeons [5].
