Modern respiratory methods in tracheal surgery are \"shunt-breath\", high frequency jet ventilation, methods of extracorporeal oxygenation and respiratory relatively new technology - apneic oxygenation. This review deals with the pathophysiologicalfeatures of each of these techniques.
