While they are typically treated with upfront endocrine and/or surgical decompressive therapy, in patients with residual, recurrent, or refractory disease, decades of data support management with stereotactic radiosurgery. This modality offers favorable local tumor control, endocrine remission rates, and infrequent toxicity.
