This article identifies and discusses different communication protocols that can be used to enhance the consistency of more efficient and effective communication within a health care organization to overall improve patient care and patient satisfaction. The rising importance of patient satisfaction and Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems scores required by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services are causing a shift in how hospitals evaluate and manage their health care organizations today.
