Prostate-specific antigen (PSA), prostate weight, relative prostate weight, prostate protein content and oxidative stress indices of the rats were evaluated. <b>Results:</b> It was observed that 200 mg/kg AFAL significantly reduced the PSA level, mean prostate weights and mean relative prostate weights of the test rats compared to the TP group, and the values were not significantly different from the normal control and group treated with a standard drug. The plant extract also significantly enhanced the antioxidant capacity of the test rats which were evidently compromised in the group that received the exogenous hormone alone. 摘要

【摘要】目的:研究富乙酰原提取物(AFAL)对大鼠良性前列腺增生(BPH)抗氧化能力及部分标志物的影响。方法:连续28天皮下注射丙酸睾酮(TP, 3 mg/kg)诱导大鼠BPH。大鼠分别口服不同剂量AFAL(100和200 mg/kg) 7 d。测定各组大鼠的前列腺特异性抗原(PSA)、前列腺质量、相对前列腺质量、前列腺蛋白含量及氧化应激指标。结果:与TP组相比,200 mg/kg AFAL显著降低了试验大鼠的PSA水平、平均前列腺重量和平均相对前列腺重量,与正常对照组和标准药物组无显著差异。该植物提取物还显著提高了单独接受外源激素组大鼠的抗氧化能力。实验大鼠经AFAL治疗后,前列腺组织病理学显示明显恢复。结论:口服富醋酸原提取物能改善tp诱导的大鼠BPH,显著提高大鼠抗氧化能力。
