[Drones in medical care : A new member of the rescue chain?]
Do drones have the potential to become established as a new member of the rescue chain? This article attempts to provide answers to this important question. In addition to a brief historical review, the many possible applications are described. The contents of selected research projects are also presented. Der Unfallchirurg is an internationally recognised publication organ. The journal deals with all aspects of accident surgery and reconstruction surgery and serves the continuing medical education of surgeons and accident surgeons with own practices and those working in hospitals.
