The strategies for staff mobilization, redeployment and recruitment, along with laying down standard operating procedures evolved as the pandemic progressed. The safety of the staff has to be a major focus area. Guidelines for covid duty exemption, orientation and training of staff must be drafted, reviewed and revised as required. Issues related to accommodation, psychosocial support and wellbeing have to be addressed.
