Lejeunea laeta (Lehm. & Lindenb.) Lehm. & Lindenb. (= Lejeunea diversistipa Lindenb. & Gottsche, syn. nov.) is newly recorded for Venezuela, Peru and Bolivia, and is newly lectotypified.
