This review evidences the need to accelerate studies on these directions, being a crucial element to catalyze the transition to a more sustainable use of energy and chemistry. It is remarked, however, the need to go beyond the traditional approaches, with some examples given. 摘要

由于能源和化学的持续转型,逐步摆脱化石燃料的使用,对新的化学反应技术和相关工程方面有需求。本文主要从两个方面进行综述:1)可替代碳源的开发和2)可再生能源在化工生产中的整合。它显示了如何适当地解决这些方面也需要开发a)化学工程评估的新工具和b)材料,反应器和工艺开发的创新方法。这一综述证明需要加快对这些方向的研究,这是催化向更可持续的能源和化学利用过渡的关键因素。但是,有人指出需要超越传统的办法,并举出一些例子。事实上,生产方式的根本变化被强调,因此需要新的基础和应用工程方法。
