The first is an analysis of the perception of tourist information according to residents of the city of Jaragua do Sul, in Santa Catarina, Brazil. The second is the application of two prioritization tools used in quality to identify opportunities for improvement and investment in processes for an analysis of tourist attractions. Its purpose is to describe how perceptions and list possibilities for improvement from the perspective of residents of tourist attractions. The methodology is a quantitative research, case study procedure and questionnaire technique via survey. Data analysis was developed in two stages. In the first it was possible to see suggestions for improving cultural attractions and sights of the city of Jaragua do Sul/SC. From the perspective of residents, the tourist phenomenon was classified as regular, as there are aspects to be improved in relation to infrastructure and services. The aspects that emerged in the first stage were used in a second consultation to indicate their order of importance, through the use of gut and REI quality matrices. Thus, in the second stage of the research, the residents indicated which ideas should be prioritized.
