First record and diagnosis of a male Haliplus (Liaphlus) madagascariensis Vondel & Bergsten and additional faunistic records of African Haliplidae (Coleoptera: Adephaga)
The male of Haliplus (Liaphlus) madagascariensis Vondel & Bergsten, 2012 is illustrated, and additional faunistic records are noted. Additional description is given of the variation in the elytral maculation of H. (L.) alluaudi Régimbart, 1903. Records for specimens of African Haliplidae not yet recorded by Vondel (2010) and Vondel & Bergsten (2012) are presented. Some new country records are established and distribution maps are presented.
