Athyrium nakanoi Makino is a new fern species record for the Philippines, discovered in Mt. Dulang-Dulang, Kitanglad Range, Mindanao, Philippines extending its original distribution from India, Nepal, Bhutan, China, Taiwan and Japan, Indonesia and Malaysia.
