The effect of different process parameters such as the concentrations of HCl, NaCl, platinum, and palladium in the aqueous solution, and the concentration of Alamine 308 in the organic phase, on the separation behavior, was evaluated. While selective stripping of platinum was achieved using NaSCN, palladium was selectively stripped with (NH2)2CS.
