The efficient use of new cultural management tools in the adaptation of public heritage during the COVID-19 pandemic
ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy of cultural management tools in the field of public heritage management (using museums as an example), before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study draws on the results of a survey conducted in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan. Content from social media pages and websites for public heritage sites in these countries were used as well. Despite the disparities between the research objects, their comparative analysis allowed the identification of common trends in the studied sector. It was proved that public heritage sites are gradually shifting away from repetitive activities and becoming more self-sufficient. They have also started to serve as testing grounds for various projects. The influence of COVID-19 on this sector, regional differences in public heritage management in the studied countries have been identified, and recommendations have been developed.

Accounts of Chemical Research presents short, concise and critical articles offering easy-to-read overviews of basic research and applications in all areas of chemistry and biochemistry. These short reviews focus on research from the author’s own laboratory and are designed to teach the reader about a research project. In addition, Accounts of Chemical Research publishes commentaries that give an informed opinion on a current research problem. Special Issues online are devoted to a single topic of unusual activity and significance.
Accounts of Chemical Research replaces the traditional article abstract with an article "Conspectus." These entries synopsize the research affording the reader a closer look at the content and significance of an article. Through this provision of a more detailed description of the article contents, the Conspectus enhances the article's discoverability by search engines and the exposure for the research.
