The yields of the prepared organic salts ranged from (21%) to (79%). However, some attempts towards the preparation of other fifteen organic salts were not successful. The resulting five organic ammonium formate salts/ionic liquids were characterized using a number of spectroscopic techniques such as the infrared (IR), the nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1HNMR) and the mass spectrometry (ms). The collected spectroscopic data confirmed the formation of theses organic ammonium formate salts.
