Namely, farmland abandonment can improve agricultural productivity, which also means that farmland abandonment may not be harmful to food security. 摘要本研究旨在从农业生产力的角度为耕地撂荒与粮食安全之间的关系提供实证证据。具体而言,本研究以中国农村丘陵山区4850户农户为研究对象,采用内生切换回归(ESR)方法解决农民退耕决策中的自我选择问题,定量考察退耕对农业生产力的影响。研究发现,在这些丘陵山区,退耕还田使土地收益提高了14.06%。也就是说,放弃耕地可以提高农业生产力,这也意味着放弃耕地可能不会对粮食安全造成危害。本研究结果有助于发展中国家更好地理解农地利用转型问题,提高农业生产力,并可为增强全球粮食和营养安全提供参考。
