Bibliometric analyses, namely, performance analysis and science mapping, were done using Biblioshiny, an R-tool.\n\n\nFindings\nThe results indicate that post-2015, the subject diversified into specialised sub-themes and empirical studies were widely adopted research methods. International Journal of Wine Business Research emerged as a leading outlet for scholarly publications. The study recommends key research themes for future research in the area.\n\n\nOriginality/value\nTo the best of the author’s knowledge, this is the first bibliometric analysis-based study on wine tourism experiences. 摘要
