Here, we review the recent developments towards biodegradable conducting polymers and their applications in biomedical fields. Firstly, we introduce the biomaterials and their biocompatibility, followed by a short discussion on conducting polymers and their new hybrid biodegradable conducting polymers along with their applications in biomedical fields such as tissue engineering, drug delivery, biosensors and antibacterial activity.
