KAJIAN SOUNDSCAPE SEBAGAI KRITIK TERHADAP PROPORSI DAN ELEMEN ARSITEKTURAL DI JALAN BRAGA, BANDUNG

Jalan Braga merupakan salah satu ruang kota yang memiliki nilai sejarah yang tinggi sekaligus menjadi destinasi wisata ikonik di Kota Bandung yang dipadati oleh banyak orang yang melakukan kegiatan ekonomi dan kegiatan wisata. Kondisi Jalan Braga yang didominasi oleh bangunan cagar budaya mempengaruhi perilaku penggunanya dalam beraktivitas, dengan bentuk ruang koridor yang unik dengan elemen arsitektural pelingkup ruang yang cukup beragam. Bentuk ruang yang unik ini menimbulkan pengaruh terhadap pembentukan kualitas soundscape yang berbeda sepanjang Jalan Braga. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah teknik soundwalk yang bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan memahami karakter suara yang muncul pada Jalan Braga kemudian mengidentifikasi elemen arsitektural pembentuk ruang serta proporsinya serta kaitan keduanya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran elemen arsitektural dan proporsi terhadap pembentukan kualitas soundscape pada Jalan Braga. Hasil temuan yang didapat adalah elemen arsitektural dan proporsi memiliki relasi yang kuat terhadap pembentukan kualitas soundscape pada Jalan Braga, dengan elemen arsitektural yang berperan sebagai filter dan switch dinilai mampu meningkatkan kualitas soundscape, sedangkan nilai proporsi D/H >1 cenderung mampu meningkatkan kualitas soundscape pada Jalan Braga. Dengan demikian, peran elemen arsitektural baik vertical plane maupun horizontal plane sebagai filter dan barrier perlu ditambahkan untuk mereduksi suara yang dikategorikan mengganggu yaitu kendaraan bermotor dan kereta api.SOUNDSCAPE STUDY AS A CRITICISM OF ARCHITECTURAL PROPORTION AND ELEMENTS AT JALAN BRAGA, BANDUNGBraga street is one of the city spaces with a high historical value. It is an iconic tourist destination in the city of Bandung, which is crowded with many people who carry out economic and tourism activities. Braga street condition, which is dominated by cultural heritage buildings, influences the behavior of its users in their activities with a unique form of corridor space with architectural elements that cover quite a variety of spaces. This unique form of space influences the formation of a different quality soundscape along Braga Street. The analytical method used is the soundwalk technique which aims to identify and understand the character of the sound that appears on Braga Street, then identifies the architectural elements that make up the space and their proportions and the relationship between them. This study aimed to determine the role of architectural elements and their ratios on the formation of soundscape quality on Braga Street. The findings obtained are that architectural elements and proportions have a solid relationship to the formation of soundscape quality on Braga Street, with architectural details that act as filters and switches considered to improve the soundscape quality. In contrast, the value of the proportion of D/H >1 tends to be able to improve the quality of the soundscape on Jalan Braga. Thus, the role of architectural elements, both vertical and horizontal planes as filters and barriers, needs to be added to reduce noise that is categorized as disturbing, namely motor vehicles and trains.
