Adenocarcinoma occurring at the end ileostomy site is a rare complication, with 70 cases reported in the literature to date. Most patients with adenocarcinoma occurring at the ileostomy site underwent total proctocolectomy for ulcerative colitis and familial adenomatous polyposis.
