Preparation of Nanogold and binding of nisin to increase its effectiveness in inhibiting the positive and negative bacteria
Most pathogenic bacteria have the acquisition of antibiotic resistance. Therefore, continuous research to find a new antibiotic against pathogens is an urgent task to avoid the rapid spreading of diseases. The direction is to create nanomaterials instead of common antibiotics to inhibition some bacteria high effectively. The purpose of this study was to functionalize the gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) with nisin (N) and applied to a group of pathogenic bacteria to evaluate the effectiveness of them in killing the isolated bacteria, including Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella typhimurium, Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus . The TEM study revealed the grain size of AuNPs ranging 1-14nm, whereas the grain size of AuNPs-N ranging 1-120nm. Also, we were measured the XRD of AuNPs and AuNPs-N to find out their structural properties. In addition to the evaluation of biologically active substances by FTIR system. The results through the biological activity showed that the nisin functionalized gold nanoparticles (AuNPs-N) exhibited perfect inhibitory activity against all the isolated bacteria.
期刊介绍:
Iranian Journal of Ichthyology (IJI) is a peer-reviewed journal for publication of high quality papers on any aspect of ichthyology and will be published 4 times a year by the Iranian Society of Ichthyology (http://www.isi-org.ir). The journal welcomes the submission of manuscripts that meets the general criteria of significance and scientific excellence, and will publish original scientific articles in the fields of ichthyology. The editors welcome the submission of original manuscripts including Research Articles, Short communications, and Views & News. Review papers by distinguished authors and Special Issues will also be considered. It is our aim to provide the international scientific community with an efficiently published journal, meeting high scientific and technical standards. Scopes of Iranian Journal of Ichthyology includes: Systematics, taxonomy, morphology, anatomy, biogeography, biodiversity, conservation, ecology and general biology of fishes (reproduction, food and feeding habits, age and growth, population dynamics, etc.). Papers on freshwater, brackish, marine and fossil fishes will be considered.
