Cattle faeces are unsuitable as feeds even after chemical treatment.</p><p><em>In sacco</em> degradability, apparent digestibility, energy content and intake of pig slurry solids were increased by treatment with urea, NaOH and KOH. Level of chemicals used and temperature influenced the effect of treatment.
