Kuznetsova","doi":"10.12731/2218-7405-2015-10-28","DOIUrl":null,"url":null,"abstract":"The article represents the results of empirical research of cognitive sphere of elementary school students who studied in the context of implementation of the Federal State Educational Standards (FSES). To achieve the goal a battery of techniques designed to diagnose the cognitive domain was formed. Third grade students were diagnosed, and then fourth grades as well. A distinctive feature of the samples was training on the State Educational Standards (SES) of the first sample, training on the FSES – the second sample. According to the results of the empirical research it was discovered that the fourth-grade students in the SES have much better developed thinking, while the students enrolled in the FSES have higher rate attention and memory. Based on the results obtained in research, the theoretical understanding of the impact of educational standards on the development of cognitive sphere of students is extended. Peculiarities of cognitive sphere of students, training on the FSES, are obvious. It was found that the development of cognitive sphere of younger students has less to do with the organization of educational process, largely due to the regularities of age development.
