Cardiac imaging primarily reveals left ventricle myocardial stunning, 81.7%of which is apical type. Emotional or psychological stress usually precedes the onset of stress-induced cardiomyopathy,which is increasingly being recognized as a unique neurogenic myocardial stunning disease.
