The inherently vulnerable characteristics of WSNs appoint them susceptible to various types of attacks. A particularly harmful attack against sensor and ad hoc networks is known as the Sybil attack, where a node illegitimately claims multiple identities. Sybil attacks can severely deteriorate the network performance and compromise the security by disrupting many networking protocols. This paper presents a lightweight Intrusion detection system (IDS) based on received signal strength indicator (RSSI) readings of messages to protect WSNs against Sybil attack. Our idea in the proposed method is based on the local calculation (within each node and without the need for communications) the RSSI ratio from the suspected nodes to the Sybil attack. 摘要

随着无线传感器网络(WSNs)在军事和民用领域等许多关键任务应用中的普及,对网络安全的需求已成为一个关键问题。无线传感器网络固有的易受攻击的特性使其容易受到各种类型的攻击。针对传感器和自组织网络的特别有害的攻击被称为Sybil攻击,其中节点非法声明多个身份。Sybil攻击会破坏多种网络协议,严重影响网络性能和安全性。本文提出了一种基于接收信号强度指示器(RSSI)读取消息的轻量级入侵检测系统(IDS),以保护wsn免受Sybil攻击。我们在提出的方法中的想法是基于本地计算(在每个节点内并且不需要通信)可疑节点对Sybil攻击的RSSI比率。实验结果表明,该系统具有较高的检测精度、较低的虚警率和较低的能耗,是无线传感器网络检测系统的理想选择。
