In contrast to vacuum-annealed silver, the samples heated in an oxygen atmosphere exhibit an antirecovery stage above the solubility temperature of oxygen in silver: the intensity of tau 2 reincreases to some 80% above T approximately=500 K. This stage is attributed to the trapping of recrystallisation-induced vacancies at impurity oxygen molecules.
