Being the more challenging frequency range- due to confined space for antenna systems in cars, investigations are carried out in the LTE Band 20 (800 MHz). Key parameters for the evaluation of radio channel quality are presented. Different antenna configurations and designs are qualified in terms of correlation factor (based on complex far-field pattern) and evaluated in test drives with respect to MIMO performance and achievable downlink throughput values.
