Fine-grained units within\nthese Neogene deposits also hold a promising archive of Pliocene\npaleoclimate history for this part of the world. Because the depocenter\ndeposits of the Bouse Formation and the deposits that overlie and underlie it are poorly\nexposed and highly weathered, the formation is ripe for study through\ncollection of drill cores.
