Jaleel和Chattopadhyay(第11章)、Das和Prasad(第12章)分别讨论了移徙妇女问题。

Negotiating linguistic plurality: translation and multilingualism in Canada and beyond
borders. In the third section of the volume, internal migration in India covering three important states has been discussed taking the socio-economic perspective of the migrants. The livelihood strategies of the rural migrants in Kolkata and the challenges, insecurities, living status of the migrant, and their coping strategies are discussed by Saswati Chaudhuri (Chap. 10). The issues of women migrants have been taken up by Jaleel and Chattopadhyay (Chap, 11), Das and Prasad (Chap. 12) respectively. These chapters present the case of migrant woman’s health, their access to health services, their autonomy, and psychology in the process of transition. Mandal and Prasad (Chap. 13) present an assessment of trade reforms, capital inflows, and bureaucratic reforms on skilled labour emigration resulting in wage inequality using a general equilibrium model. Thus, all 13 chapters woven together with a common thread of migration in one single volume, give a complete panoramic view of complexities, challenges and dynamics of people’s movement in different countries of South Asia. This comprehensive volume is definitely a reader’s delight for all those interested in migration studies.
