Luminaire performance indices such as utilization factor, efficiency and surrounding ratio are utilized for the selection procedure. The developed program compares these luminaire performance indices and selects the proper luminaire considering lighting criteria. The selected luminaire can be used in the lighting design program such as DIALux program for further roadway lighting design. The developed program can reduce time for roadway luminaire selection.
