The existing dataset is used as training data to compute the prediction model with the use of linear regression. The prediction will be help full to the government and funding agencies to reserve grant amount to provide to the universities of the country as per growth of publication for the future. The paper proposed two types of analysis, one is to find the no of universities growth above the average and below the average growth with respect to total number of universities. The training dataset are of the year 2011 to 2016 dataset of all over the universities publication and citation details. The predictions are for the year 2017 and onwards.
