To deal with huge data volume of multimedia application, image coding is a viable solution. This paper proposed image coding scheme based on dual tree complex wavelet transform (DT-CWT). DT-CWT exploit the directionality and shift invariant property to compact the pixel energy in few wavelet coefficients.
