This paper presents an analytical method to investigate the statistics of inter-cell interference in uplink when SFR scheme is adopted in OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) systems. PDF (Probability Density Function) of ICI from one adjacent interfering cell is derived and then used to deduce the expectation and variance of ICI from multiple interfering cells. The derived results are validated through comparison with Monte Carlo simulations. In addition, the relationships between system parameters and statistics of ICI in different frequency bands are investigated.
