A Content Analysis of Counseling Outcome Research and Evaluation (CORE) from 2010 to 2017
ABSTRACT In this study, authors reviewed articles published in Counseling Outcome Research and Evaluation from 2010 through 2017. Characteristics associated with authors (i.e., gender, setting, and domicile) and article characteristics (i.e., sample age, sample ethnicity, research paradigm, primary statistical analysis) were coded and analyzed. Professional implications and future recommendations are discussed.

Counseling Outcome Research and Evaluation (CORE) provides counselor educators, researchers, educators, and other mental health practitioners with outcome research and program evaluation practices for work with individuals across the lifespan. It addresses topics such as: treatment efficacy, clinical diagnosis, program evaluation, research design, outcome measure reviews. This journal also serves to address ethical, legal, and cultural concerns in the assessment of dependent variables, implementation of clinical interventions, and outcome research.
