Parents of children with ASD studying in private and public schools for students with autism spectrum disorder from Lahore division including its 4 districts; Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhpura and Nankana Sahib were the population of the study. A sample of 88 parents of children with autism spectrum disorder participated in this study. Researchers used self-developed and validated Likert type questionnaire. After raw data collection, the data was coded in coding scheme by using statistical package of social sciences (SPSS) and tabulated to show the mean and standard deviation of responses. \nFindings: The findings obtained in this study suggest that children with autism spectrum disorder were willing to participate in leisure activities, but their participation in leisure activities differed by activity types. 摘要

目的:探讨自闭症谱系障碍儿童参与休闲活动的相关因素。研究方法:本研究为描述性研究,采用定量方法对数据进行分析。在拉合尔区(包括4个区)私立和公立自闭症谱系障碍学校就读的自闭症儿童的家长;拉合尔、卡苏尔、谢赫普拉和南卡纳是该研究的人口。88位自闭症谱系障碍儿童的父母参与了这项研究。研究者采用自行开发并验证的李克特问卷。原始数据收集完成后,使用社会科学统计软件包SPSS对数据进行编码,并将数据制成表格,显示应答的均值和标准差。结果:本研究结果表明,自闭症谱系障碍儿童愿意参与休闲活动,但其参与程度因活动类型而异。据观察,年龄、性别、工作职责、家庭压力、健康问题以及家庭的社会经济地位等个人因素影响到参加休闲活动。建议:学校可组织家长培训课程,引导和激励家长制定和执行游戏计划,以展示孩子在学校层面的休闲活动中的实力。
