Recommendations from a workshop on Space Neuroscience Research held in Paris on April 22-24, 1997 are summarized. Research areas include the autonomic nervous system, development and neurobiology, posture and movement, visual perception, vestibular function, cognition, and human factors. Long-term neuroscience research studies are being planned for the International Space Station.
