Especially, absence of brush makes this machine significant for offshore wind energy application. This machine has two stator windings and special rotor construction, so analysis of magnetic field of BDFIM is different from other machines and quite complicated. BDFIM has too many harmonics due to its special structure. In this paper magnetic field of BDFIM in air gap is analyzed with analytical method and Matlab.
