Irrespective of wooden or FRP boat hulls, biofilms are inevitable due to accumulation of algae, bacteria and other microorganisms. Bio-fouled boats or ships face serious decline in speed due to drag force (respective of the fluid friction) and overall efficiency too. Hence in this study, a series of bio-film coatings such as Teflon and epoxy are performed and corresponding fouling studies are done. Also, the effects of blending organic pesticide along with anti-fouling agents are also studied. 摘要

由于生物膜的形成,印度各地的船只面临着严重的问题。无论是木质船体还是玻璃钢船体,由于藻类、细菌和其他微生物的积累,生物膜是不可避免的。这最终导致第二阶段藤壶和海草的积累,造成严重的生物污染。由于阻力(相对于流体摩擦)和整体效率,生物污染的船或船面临严重的速度下降。因此,本研究对聚四氟乙烯和环氧树脂等一系列生物膜涂层进行了研究,并进行了相应的污染研究。同时,混合有机农药的影响以及防污剂也进行了研究。实验研究表明:一是不同水样在3个不同阶段(对数、平稳和下降状态)对生物污染因子的影响;二是环氧涂料与有机农药(印楝)的体积分数混合,可以有效地减少船体的生物污染。
