[Successful treatment of a patient with ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm, COVID-19, and prosthesis infection (case report)].

The novel coronavirus infection makes alterations in the course of such an already severe disease as a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm. Suppuration of a vascular prosthesis is a formidable complication for which there is no single solution. This article presents a clinical case report regarding successful treatment of a 54-year-old patient who underwent abdominal aortic replacement for an aneurysm rupture. The postoperative period was complicated by the new coronavirus infection, suppuration of the retroperitoneal hematoma and vascular prosthesis. The patient was subjected to removal of the infected abdominal aortic prosthesis and repeat autovenous bifurcation prosthetic repair of the abdominal aorta.
