The choice of the reagent for the complexation reaction, finding the λ maximum of the complex of the reagent (FeCl3) with m-cresol, the effect of pH on the analytical signal was studied. The straightness of the optical density in the determination of m-cresol in the concentration range of 0.625–12.5 mg / 8 ml with a correlation coefficient (R2) of 0.981 at λ max 567 nm has been proved.
