Differences in Vaginal Progesterone Provision among Racial and Socioeconomic Groups
Objective: Preterm birth is the leading cause of perinatal morbidity and mortality and has been increasing in the United States. Short cervical length is a treatable risk factor for preterm birth. Non-Hispanic black and Hispanic women have significantly higher rates of preterm birth and disparities exist in the obstetrical care of these populations.
