A total of 12 female ApoE KO-/- mice were divided into two groups. A control group of mice received distilled water and the experimental group received l-thyroxine dissolved in drinking water at a daily dose of 2 µg/ml, over 12 weeks. The paraffin sections were processed with the usual haematoxilin-eosin technique of staining. Qualitative histological analysis demonstrated: the presence of large distended follicles in the peripheral areas of the gland; fulfillment of the lumen of follicles with an ample amount of colloid; complete absence of resorptive vacuoles in the colloid; a flattened follicullar epithelium. Morphometric assessment showed a significant increase in the diameters of follicles in the peripheral areas of the gland and a significant decrease in the height of the follicullar epithelium (p <0,001). 摘要本研究旨在探讨左旋甲状腺素(l-thyroxine)对ApoE KO-/-小鼠甲状腺组织的影响。将12只ApoE KO-/-雌性小鼠分为两组。对照组小鼠给予蒸馏水,实验组小鼠给予l-甲状腺素溶解于饮用水中,每日剂量为2µg/ml,持续12周。石蜡切片用常用的红-伊红染色技术处理。定性组织学分析显示:腺体周围存在大的膨大的卵泡;以充足的胶体填充卵泡腔;胶体中完全没有吸收液泡;扁平的滤泡上皮。形态计量学评估显示,腺体周围区域的卵泡直径显著增加,卵泡上皮高度显著降低(p < 0.001)。我们的结果表明,l-甲状腺素引起甲状腺结构的特征性形态学改变,从而导致甲状腺功能亢进的发生。
