Up to date, different ratios of rice straw ash has been incorporated with selected rubber compound replacing the silica filler loading and tensile, tear strength, hardness, compression set properties have been investigated. These properties were compared with those of the reference sample prepared according to the same formulation but without adding rice straw ash. The sample containing the same proportion of rice straw ash and silica showed the highest tensile strength compared with that of the control sample. Further, tensile strength of the sample which contained only rice straw ash was also higher than that of the control sample. 摘要

稻草是斯里兰卡产生的最高的植物性废物之一。农民燃烧稻草没有任何好处,造成严重的空气污染。稻秆灰分中含有大量的二氧化硅(62% ~ 82%),二氧化硅是橡胶复合中重要的补强填料。目前的研究工作主要集中在稻草灰作为橡胶复合材料的替代填充材料。目前,用不同比例的稻草灰与选定的胶料代替二氧化硅填料,研究了其抗拉、撕裂强度、硬度、压缩凝固性能。并与未添加稻草灰的参考样品进行了比较。稻草灰与二氧化硅掺量相同的试样与对照试样相比,拉伸强度最高。此外,仅含稻草灰的试样的抗拉强度也高于对照试样。稻草灰对橡胶硫化胶的拉伸性能有较强的改善作用,但对硬度、撕裂强度、压缩集定等其他力学性能有负面影响。
