The shift from classroom learning in schools to online learning from home has generated different responses and perspectives among students. This study to analyze students' perceptions of online learning in junior high schools, so that they can provide benefits for the implementation of better learning in the future. This study applies a survey method with a quantitative approach. This study applies a cluster sampling technique with class VIII-I students of SMP Negeri 1 Tempeh Lumajang as research subjects. The data collection technique use a questionnaire. The results showed that the percentage of students' perceptions of online learning in science subjects was 70% and could be categorized as good. All students use smartphones to support for online learning with the Google Classroom and WhatsApp platforms. During online learning, students have difficulty with materials on the circulatory system, excretory system, respiratory system, vibration, waves, and optics, light and optical instruments, pressure of substances, and simple machines. Constraints experienced by students during online learning are internet signal, cellular data package quotas and Wi-Fi. Students are less interested in online learning because interaction with the teacher is only done virtually and cannot digest the explanation of the material by the teacher.
