A principal contribuição desta a discussão de elementos que possibilitem a elaboração de laudo pericial que constitua prova material relevante, em sinergia com a prevencionista nos ambientes de trabalho. Abstract. Workplace accidents have not only civil, labor and social security implications, but also repercussions in the criminal sphere. In this aspect, there is a lack of studies focusing on criminal investigations from the point of view of the forensic expert. This study proposes the construction of the proper scientific knowledge for a greater efficiency of the criminal prosecution; and points out the need to invest in knowledge and training of forensic experts in the concepts and methods of workplace accidents investigation. Thus, the main contribution is the discussion of the elements that enable the preparation of expert reports which constitute relevant material evidence, in synergy with the prevention culture in the workplace.
