It is revealed that depending on the material selected for the metal and alloy samples formation there is nucleation of defects which differ in structure and influence on mechanical properties. In the samples from the pair of metals with high solubility in the solid state and the ability to form intermetallic compounds, determined by the state diagram, the defects are formed in the form of cracks and stratifications.
