Neutron capture cross-section measurements for 238U and 115In Between 150 AND 630 keV
The 238U(n, γ) 239U and 115In(n, γ)116mIn neutron capture cross-sections have been measured by the activation technique for several neutron energies between 150 and 630 keV. The neutron flux was measured with a calibrated long counter. The errors on the results at a confidence level of approximately 99 per cent were about ±7 per cent for U and ±4 per cent for In, with standard deviations of ±2 per cent.
