International guidelines recommend SGLT2-i use in association with neuro-hormonal modulators (renin-angiotensin blockers, beta blockers, and aldosterone antagonists). Although SGLT2-is are well tolerated, it is important to know potential side effects and conditions that may lead to an increased risk of adverse events in order to maximize clinical benefits.
