Here, this approach was applied to the study of specific aspects of peregrine falcon (<i>Falco peregrinus</i>) nestlings' behaviour at critical developmental stages. Special attention was given to food begging behaviour and its development. The materials included 254 videos (from 31 nests and 51 different broods) that underwent strict selection procedures to ensure their reliability and quality. Following age estimation of the nestlings, videos were divided into four classes to study age-related differences in begging behaviour. No statistically significant differences emerged among age classes. Video mining may represent a valuable tool for qualitative analyses if wisely and rigorously applied in suitable species and for appropriate research questions.
