Laser Journal (changed to monthly in 2014) was founded in 1975. It is a domestic and internationally publicly distributed publication approved by the State Administration of Press and Publication. It is an academic journal recognized by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television. It is an academic journal mainly reporting on optoelectronics and laser technology. Since 1992, it has been listed as a statistical source journal for Chinese scientific and technological papers, and the papers published have been indexed by the American "EI". It is the first source journal to enter the Chinese journal matrix. It is now a source journal of the Chinese core journals (Peking University Library's "Overview of Chinese Core Journals" 2020 edition), China Science and Technology Core Journals (CSTPCD), China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database (CCD), and is included in the American CA and Japanese JSI, and the "World Journal Impact Index (WICI) Report". Journals funded by Chongqing Municipal Publishing Special Funds in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. Laser Journal main columns: comprehensive review, laser physics and devices, optoelectronic measurement and detection, extreme environment optical technology and application, experimental equipment and technology, optical communication and network, laser application and system, image processing, medical optics.

《激光杂志》（2014年改为月刊）创刊于1975年，是国家新闻出版局批准的国内外公开发行的刊物，是国家新闻出版广电总局认定的学术期刊，以报导光电与激光技术为主的学术期刊。从1992年起被列为中国科技论文统计源刊物，所刊登论文曾被美国《EI》检索。首批进入中国期刊方阵的来源期刊，现是中文核心期刊（北京大学图书馆《中文核心期刊要目总览》2020年版）、中国科技核心期刊（CSTPCD）、中国知网数据库（CCD）的来源期刊、被美国CA、日本JSI收录、《世界期刊影响力指数（WICI）报告》入编期刊。2014年、2015、2016、2017、2018年度重庆市出版专项资金资助期刊。《激光杂志》主要栏目：综合评述、激光物理与器件、光电测量与检测、极端环境光学技术与应用、实验装置与技术、光通信与网络、激光应用与系统、图像处理、医用光学。
